I was just wondering because I wished someone with the same last name a blessed holiday (for Ramadan) and didn't actually know if they were a Muslim or not, so I hope I didn't put my foot in my mouth.

Yes, I realize that Christians do not celebrate Ramadan. more detail into the question would tell you that I wished someone a blessed holiday and were hoping they were not Christian. I hope that is more clear. As there are presently no Christian holidays and I was relatively certain the person was indeed a Muslim. Whether they were practicing or not, I am not certain.

Exactly, never heard of an Arab Christian (Assyrian, Armenian, Coptic, Maronite) with the last name Hussein. And they do not celebrate Ramadan.
