Hmmm...Singapore's public transport system is pretty well set up...so getting around via Subway (Mass Rapid Transport - MRT) should be pretty hassle free.
u can try going down 2 Chinatown (North Bridge Road). There r lots of small shops there selling cheap souvenirs.
Either that or u can travel down 2 Little India (Serangoon Road) n shop along the shops there. Be sure 2 stop by this mall called 'Mustafa'...it is open 24hrs n there r lots of cheap items there.

Pick up a copy of the Singapore guide (free!) at the Changi Airport. There's plenty of information in an easy to read format and you just pick your choice.
Singapore's a great destination, right choice there. Much to see and do. Enjoy!

buy cheap souveneirs?hmmm....how cheap is cheap?try toa payoh, orchard or amk.
if u re a tourist here u dont have to worry coz singa4 is probably the most friendliest country to visit, bec everything is under one roof, and the bus n mrt system is efficient.cn4 is like a cabinet of goodies,open it and u'll find what u re looking for.

Bugis Village, tees, key chain, stainless steel tableware all are very cheap. For a local like me i even find their prices extremely good!!
