Does it really matter if a singer is gay or straight? That is the choice of the individual. Does it make an actor less talented if he/she goes outside the marriage? I think it's up to the spouse to handle that.

Yes, many of these people make more money then we will ever see but do they deserve to have every moment in their lives dissected, photographed and studied? Why do the collective “we” think that it is our business to know their business? They should be able to give interviews when they want and to speak only as much as they care to about their personal lives. Didn't we learn anything after the death of Princess Diana?

You have made a good point. Everyone deserves to have their privacy respected. This stupid culture of celebrities is toxic to all of us. Let them be.

I'm beginning to believe it is a way of control, like the lack of education in some countries ours it the over focus on frivolous crap and lifestyles we can't possibly attain - I mean, what 21 year old is really going to earn $100 million like Britney?

our generation is addicted to distraction. that's why the media takes advantage of this fact to make money. they know what people are suckers at and use that to sell what amuses people--news about idols on TV

someone wisely said that the greatest need of the human soul is the need to worship. worship to the human soul is like air to the human body. if a person doesn't choose to worship God, his/her soul will by default find another object of worship. unfortunately, for many people these days that object is the celebrities we see on TV.

The worst part is when people end up knowing more about the family lives of celebrities they'll never meet than what's going on with their neighbors.

I agree with you 100% people should leave other people alone, like with Mel Gibson people should get over it people say things sometimes that they don't mean. and even if he did mean it that is his right to say what he feels.
