But asked about salary, that is when they said they would think about it. I knew I had the job, man. LOL

The job is office manager, I have ten years exp, and I am also a full charge bookkeeper.

I think you did just fine. If they want you but "cannot afford" your pay, they will make you an offer. If the sticking point is about money, don't forget there are other non-payroll things you can negotiate for.

Examples: an additional week of vacation, or Fridays off during the summer, or working from home on Wednesdays, or paying your cable or DSL Internet bill if you log onto your work account from home, or tuition reimbursement, or whatever else comes to mind that may be of value to you.

I don't know how much office managers make there, but here in Los Angeles, you could 'a' asked for more.
If they liked you, they'll call you with a counter-offer for your salary request. I hope you get the job.

What are your qualifications? What can you bring into this job that the others can't. What makes you so special? If you have no experience then it is way too high.
