Depending on the time of year, right now until next May might be a little chilly, Alberta tends to get a bit cooler during the winter, minus degrees and more sometimes, if you have thermal gear, and like sleeping in the snow, I worked and lived in both Calgary and Edmonton, I can say this time of year is not the best for outdoor camping, in the summer any of the many Provincial Parks, Banff or Lake Louise area, Lethbridge or in even the Red Deer area.

I might put off any outdoor camping for now, the Weather Channel said the daytime temps in the two major citys was not going to get above 10 celcius???

Beware that most campsites are filling up because so many ppl are trying to get homes and jobs here, things are becoming overcrowded in those places and unsanitary! Hotels and Motels are also doubleing their rates per night!
