Google's Toolbar works very well with Internet Explorer, and it provides other functions, too.
I have recently started using the Firefox browser instead of IE and it has its own popup blocker (although there is a Google Toolbar for it, too, if you want the other functions.)

my blocker comes with verizon yahoo dsl, but If i had to look for a blocker I would search

There are two that i use
Ad-aware SE personal which can be downloaded at download.com
Registry mechanic which can be downloaded off torrents
or AVG which can be downloaded off download.com
or u can try spyware doctor. but i recommend registry mechanic...its probably the best....but it aint free, u must download it
