And yes, it IS round. Look from the proper vantage point (such as an orbiting space ship) and you can clearly see it's round, since it's held to the earth (which is also round) by gravity.

OK, for the purists out there, neither the earth nor the atmosphere (they sky) is perfectly round -- it's an oblate spheroid, bulging at the equator because of centrifugal force. Close enough :)

They are all wrong and smell like insects! The sky is invisible and they can't see it to know it's shape. I, however, have met the great Chimanzee and know that we live in his hole, which is square. As he spins around, which he does every 400 years when he gets excited and needs to pass lumps, we evolve as does the earth, as does the sky. When we evolve we become hard, when the earth evolves it becomes fragmented and when the sky evolves it becomes more linear. In 1800 years we will be Pong.

Why do people ask that? We are a spear, we have an atmosphere around this ball. The shape of the sky is round! We are a bubble in space

yes, it is round, as the atmosphere is held to the planet by gravity, creating a naturally round sky

there are many theories on that. if you mean the sky as in the atmosphere then its the same shape as the earth. if you mean the solar system its planar, if you mean the galaxy its a spiral plane, if you mean the universe as a whole, studies show its curved

well its not flat. so yes it is round. it covers the earth. and the earth is a sphere, so the sky is a sphere... so think again
