alignment. Or crappy brake pads... but I would put money on alignment.

Hey hon,
If it's shaking when your moving it is probably something to do with the engine, probably the engine mount. If it only shakes when u try to stop, it would probably be the breaks. Either sounds like a costly problem to fix and should be checked out by your mechanic a.s.a.p.!
It is never good when ur car shakes and should be looked at right away as it normally means u have something serious wrong with ur car that often times could lead to an accident!
Hope this helps!

1-2, or 3. #1- Brake rotors could be warped and need replaced, turning just postpones the inevitable. #2- Possible worn steering components, such as tie rod ends, which should be replaced. or #3 - Worn ride control components such as shocks or struts depending on the type of vehicle. Vehicle mileage has everything to do with degree of wear on all of the above. Change in braking habit could avert further rotor damage by braking earlier, and pumping the brake pedal to reduce your speed over a distance, thereby allowing your brakes to cool between applications. Heat is the killer. If you just hold your foot on the pedal steady until it comes to a stop, rotor temps could exceed temperatures of about 1700-2000 degrees. Be kind, pump the pedal.

It's alignment. I am experienced the same thing in the past, and I took to my dealer and fixed it for me. It is alignment that is causing the breaks and your steering wheel to shake. It also has to do with the balancing of your car's wheels. If it is not properly balanced as far as having enough air in all four wheels, than alignment usually occurs. Definitely take your car to your dealer and have them do a thorough inspection of brakes, alignment, and wheels. Once you do this, your car will be back to normal again.

It could be either, your best bet is to bring it to a mechanic. I don't think any one could really answer your question with out feeling, hearing or seeing what the car is doing. Is it making a squeeky noise when it does this, does it feel like it is coming from under you or in front of you? Does your engine make any other noises.....? What is the year make and model of your vehicle. These are all important things one would need to properly answer your question, I believe.

Pads may be wearing out on disc brakes, or one or more rotors is dented. However, some shaking is common with antilock brakes. Have brakes and rotors checked if it is a concern/

sounds like warped rotors. just need to have them turned at a machine shop or mechanic shop. It does it at speed, cause you have to hit brakes harder and more revolutions are turned before you stop so you notice it more.

sounds like your brakes are scraping your rotors...don't let it go too long, or you will have to replace the pads and the rotors, and that can get expensive...(believe me, I have been there)
