' Swagger ' might fit the bill or ' raffish ', or ' natty ' - except that they come from either slang or a negative connotation made acceptable by peerage. European officers had swagger sticks as part of their ' kit '. In ' Shakespeare's Henry IV ' one of the characters', an innkeeper almost has a cow over ' swaggerers '.

Cocky - you might not be able to have that as a nickname. Others think they qualify too. The word choice might be questionable for the watchdogs too.
