Ok, what kind of curse is Lewis? He had a bad year and missed one game oh, boy some curse because the year before he had a great season, so thats what everyone remembers till he had a lower statistical season when he was on the cover.
George-George's curse came in 2001 where he failed to break 1000 yards and Tennessee missed the playoffs going 7-9, another coming off a great year from before and then this, I don't see a curse.
Ray Lewis for the most part avoided the curse. His numbers were slightly down from the year before, but he missed one game. He did not record an interception in 2004, the first time in his career.
Faulk-Despite playing the same amount of games, Faulk rushed for 430 less yards and had 4 less TDs compared to 2001. Faulk's worst season since 1996. Rams scored only 16 more points then their 1996 team who had Tony Banks at QB and Lawrence Phillips at RB.
Maybe they should call it the every other year curse because inbetween these years, culpepper, vick, and mcnabb all got injured.

pretty shocking, huh.....well let's take a look at the curse's history.
2000- Barry Sanders: abruptly retired during training camp
2001- Eddie George: caused a costly fumble against the Ravens in the playoffs; career was never the same after
2002- Daunte Culpepper: Vikes go 4-12; Culpepper blows out knee
2003- Marshall Faulk: had a sub-par year, suffered an injury, and has never rushed for more than 1,000 yds since
2004- Michael Vick: suffers broken fibula, Falcs miss playoffs
2005- Ray Lewis: broke wrist, Ravens miss playoffs, Lewis never has an INT, and has a bad follow-up campaingn to his year before
2006- Donovan McNabb: suffers sports hernia, the "T.O." saga, Philly misses playoffs
2007- Shaun Alexander: breaks foot after MVP year
wow....sure doesn't seem like a coincidence

It's a self fullfiling curse.
The players on the cover also have a bit of hubris, especially Alexander.
Have you ever seen his Madden 07 commercials?
I bet Tiki Barber is glad he's not Shaun Alexander.
Alexander deserves a rest, perhaps for the rest of the year. He had 1 breakout year and he thinks he's Barry Sanders.
Good grief.

it style of feels to be. Ray Lewis changed into the merely man or woman who did not capture the malicious program. Even tho youthful is an glaring movie star (ability plus personality), i changed into suprised they positioned one of those youthful participant on the canopy. I mean, Lewis, Marshall Faulk, Shaun Alexander, McNabb, they were all straightforward veterans with playoff appearances and different accolades. no longer to point that Titans team is amazingly youthful also, a sophmore hunch would were envisioned for Vince besides.

Alexander is not having a season like last year. But his injury is not that bad. He will still have a good season. It will be hard to match last season though.
