no

True.

6x-5 = 2(4 +3x)
6x-5 = 8 + 6x
6x = 13 + 6x

6x - (6x) = 13 + 6x - (6x)

0 = 13 (can not be)

therefore, this equation has no solution.

It is true. If you distribute 2 and subtract 6x on both sides, then 13=0 is what you should end up with. Since 13 obviously doesn't = 0, there are no solutions for the equation.

6x - 5=8 + 6x which equals to... 13 = 0 because you subtract 6 from 6 and 8 from -5. So the answer equals to zero, or as some teachers let you put 'n.s.' (no solution).

so yes that can be right.

2006-09-25 19:17:45 · answer #4 · answered by ? 6 · 0 1

6x-5 = 8 + 6x
6x-6x = 8 + 5
0 = 13

which is an inequality, so there are in fact no solutions. So, yes it is a true statement.

It's true.
Here is why:
6x-5 = 2(4+3x)
6x-5 = 8+6x
6x = 13+6x
0 = 13

Yes it is true. You do the equation and then you get 6x=6x+13 which doesn't work because x should be constant and hence there is no correct answer.

That's true....

If you multiply it out, you get:

6x-5=8+6x

If you try to solve for x, you subtract 6x from each side and it eliminates x, giving you -5=8, which is a false statement.

So, no, x can not be solved for....

6x-5=2(4 +3x)
6x -5 = 8 +7x
x = -13

6x - 5 = 8 + 6x
6x = 13 + 6x
0 = 13

Not that there are no solutions - the equality equation shown is false.

Yes.

if you subtract 6x from both sides of the equation...then it would become 0.

0 does not equal 13......0 equals 0!
