f(s) = s^2 -6s + 9 , so f(s) = (s-3) ^2

f(2) = (-1)^2, getting f(2)=1

f(1) = (-2)^2 , f(1) = 4

f(0) = (-3)^2, f(0) = 9

you wanna kno

f(2)-f(1)-f(1)+f(0)= 1 -4 -4 +9

so we get '2'.
