They're both wrong. The second person subtracted 0.002 instead of 0.02 from 5.005.

0.02-0.003x+x=5.005
-0.02 -0.02
-0.003x+x=5.005-0.02
0.997x = 4.985
x=4.985/0.997
x=5

the answer above mine is close--but she forgot to carry the negative sign when she combined the 'x' coefficients...
