Well, if you don't do exercise everyday... There's a couple option that you can do.
You know metamucil?
Before you eat anything take 3 caps of metamucil. Metamucil will bind with the fat in your food, so that they won't be stored in your body.
However, if you take metamucil, be prepared to have a lot of gas... you'll be passing flatus everywhere.
Some other thing that you can do, you can also take glucomannan everyday like 1 hours before the meal time.
This thing will absorb water in your gut creating a fullness sensation, hence reducing your appetite.
Both of the supplements are very safe.
Coupled with daily exercise and good nutrition, you'll be slim in no time.
Some people report 10% weight reduction in their first week of this kind of therapy.
Try it...

I wish I had all the answers. I am about 10-15 lbs over weight and I'd like to tone up and lose some inches. I just came to the conclusion (which seems to work for SOME); don't eat more calories in a day than you can burn off. Try to eat small light meals throughout the day and do some cardio. That's a good way to shed some unwanted weight. Then slowly move into something like Pilates. It just takes time and patience; at least that's what I'm learning. I would say a good 30 minutes a day to start would be good. Then add about 5 minutes to your workouts Good luck.

If you're not overweight and beyond or even CLOSE to that I think you should go get a good look at reality.
And if you're striving to "develop" an eating disorder (not a geniune ED) then I'm sorry to say that people will hate you for asininity.
But if you're trying to get healthy, I'm happy for you and I admire that. :)
Anyways, to answer your question--it depends on your daily caloric intake and your BMR. Just try exercising at least an hour a day. That sounds good. If you don't lose from that increase exercise, and cut down caloric intake ONLY if you're OVEREATING. But cut down slowly, or you will adversely affect your metabolism.

the best thing is to talk to a personal trainer and to eat right. none of this bull about smaller portions, etc. you've got to throw out the junk, which is quite hard!
exercise is the key. lifting weights will boost your metabolism and tone your arms and legs, along with your core. after a couple of months of regular work outs, start your cardio. with that, work your way up to jogging for 10-15 minutes. with this balance, you'll lose weight.
all models lift weights--i promise, they won't make you look big and bulky as long as you do a program that will tone and strengthen. talking to a personal trainer will help you to get a feel for what machines work the best for you and what will help you get the best results.
pilates is great, but you shouldn't rely just on that and a little cardio. my husband is a personal trainer and since we got married in january, i've lost close to 20 lbs. and am down 4 pant sizes.
diets are no good also--they're just crash courses. the best diet you can do is the proper definition of diet--what you eat. only eat things that will fuel your body. it's like putting gas in your car. you wouldn't put watered down cruddy gas in it, right? well, one steak has over 20 grams of fat. hamburgers are just as bad. but, don't be a nazi--because then you'll crave something you like and it's just make you miserable. me, i love ice cream. so, instead of eating the kind that is loaded with fat, i eat sorbet or the low fat vanilla.
it's hard to change the way you eat, but eventually you don't want alot of the junk you ate before. it's all about wanting it. i hate cardio, but i do it because i want the body that it's going to give me.
good luck!!

first don't drink anymore pop, if you only drink water or juice, alone, just from that in a year you can lose as little as 15 pounds, not to mention exercising, you need to do cardio 3 times a week, go by the food pyramid, stay away from red meat, replace that with other types of protein, like tofu, or fish, or maybe 1 egg, but 1 egg alone is nearly all the protein you need in a day if you eat the yolk as well as the white, if you cut the yolk out then most of the protein is cut out as well, try to limit yourself on eggs, and one last thing I cannot stress enough of, eat lots of fruits, they have natural sugars in them that are good to the body, and they are tasty!!!!! eat vegtables too, don't forget those

dont skip meals and/or strave urself, jus eat evry few hours but in small portions. like a small handful. and dont eat after 7 cuz ur metabolism is VERY slow after that. alwayz eat breakfast!!!!! do this and this alone should help u loose sum weight! u should ask ur P.E. teacher for advice too, but itll be similar to mine. also, if u dont feel like doin aerobic or cardio, you could do weight training. it will not make u bulky cuz i can bench press more than 100lb and im skinny as hell, no bulk. the muscle will get stronger and have to burn more calories because itll need more energy. making ur metabolism fater too. i reccomend this, if i dont feel liked oin alot of runnin to loose weight. it should work, and i cant stress this enuff, DO NOT SKIP MEALS AND/OR STARVE URSELF (ull slow down ur metabolism and gain MORE weight the next time u eat!!!!!!!)
PS, and remember LOTZA WATER, gotta keep urself hydrated ( if u do choose to do aerobic, and/or cardio, drink Gatorade cuz ull need the electrolytes it has!)
