Speaking as a college professor who teaches both formats, I can honestly say that it's possible for students to learn just as much from both.
But I personally prefer and feel that classroom instruction is the best. I can more easily explain things and interact with the students. And students are more easily able to ask questions and interact with me.
But the biggest advantage classroom instruction has is that I can see that you, the student, is actually capable of doing the work because I actually see you doing it. With online classes, I don't see YOU, but merely the results. And for all I know, somebody else actually did it.
So in my opinion as an educator, there's no beating classroom instruction.

It really depends on the instructor and the nature of the course. Sometimes online can be better but most would agree that classroom instruction is best.

I'd say classroom, for most subjects. The interaction with classmates and additional opportunity to interact w/ profs adds to the learning experience.

Classroom because, eventhough with internet coarses, you can go at your own pace, its so easy to keep putting it off until you have to do it all at once.

class room because when you're taking a test you can watch the teachers facial expression when they read your answers over your shoulder
