i just bought a dwarf african frog, but as a veggie, i shudder at the thought of feeding him the cubes 'o' frozen blood worm.

is there anything i could feed him instead? i mean, i can suck it up if need be, but if there's any alternative, it'd be awesome!

oh, and: is there anywhere online that i can get some good info on the dwarf african frog? i'm fairly new to this whole amphibian thing...

They will be quite happy to eat freeze dried blood worms, tubiflex worms, and all sorts of other freeze dried beasties.

The frog will have to have protein to survive. Just because you are a vegetarian doesn't mean that the froggy should be one also. You really should have done a bit of research before purchasing a frog. Dont give the cube, of whatever you are going to feed it, to the frog while it is frozen. Allow it to thaw in a small feeding dish first. Good luck.

I had the same project with my tropical fish. i'm allergic to blood worms also. even though it took awhile in the previous I figured it out. So now I stop using blood worms and easily feed them dried nutrition and frozen brine shrimp. As a very last motel in the previous taking him lower back you try feeding him earthworms. capture some, rinse them off and positioned them in a plastic bag contained in the freezer. when they are frozen, take a hammer and damage them. See in case you frog will eat them. My fish like them. Your frog should be able to eat brine shrimp also. wish this facilitates, reliable success.

Well if you can't stand thought of feeding your froggie meat. You bought the wrong pet. He's a meat eater. You can get freeze dried blood worms, and brine shrimp cube, but they don't tend to eat them as readily. It's possible they may eat pellet, or sick food, but your result may vary. Note all the food needs a meaty base like fish, shrimp, or worms.

PS- You do realize that nearly all fish flakes contain ground fish, worms, or shrimp. The ones that don't won't give most fish a healthy diet.
