My buddy and I have tickets to the Tigers game this Friday and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to do after the game/fireworks show? Maybe something that's not the casino (we're poor college students), maybe a cool club or bar or restaurant with Tigers promotions. Perhaps something cool or fun or interesting that isn't a bar or dance club... need suggestions!

there is plenty to do in downtown detroit. Just walk down Woodward, north of Tiger Stadium, and you will just walk into different bars and clubs. Good luck.

Inside the Greektown Casino on the second floor is the Apollo lounge. This where the FREE entertainment is the show starts at 10 pm. Near the stadium The Hockeytown cafe, Cheli's Chili is nearby also. some places will wave the cover charge so keep your ticket stub from the game.

I live in Windsor (right across the river from Detroit)...if you're not old enough to drink in the States, cross the border and go into Windsor...drinking age here is 19. We have a TON of bars and clubs downtown...and our casino is way better than the Detroit ones...although it is under construction at the moment, so that kinda sucks. Windsor is a party city, so you pretty much go to the bars/clubs or the casino....other than that, there isn't much to do this time of year.

Cheli's Chili is adjacent to Comerica Park
5th Avenue is part of Comerica Park
If you walk out the south west corner (main) entrance, walk past the Opera House and there are several good bars including the Detroit Brewing Company.

We usually go to Pizza Papalis for dinner after a game downtown, and sometimes dessert at Astoria. They're both in Greektown, so its a short walk from the ballpark.
