its okay for you, no one ever died or anything from it.
it hurts real bad though! i have watched people get it. They turn red!
but my personal opinion is. Go for it if you want to! if you want it, then nothing should stop you!
Have fun.

there is the flair of having a cauliflower-ear Deformity, cauliflower-ear: Destruction of the underlying cartilage framework of the outer ear (pinnae), oftentimes delivered approximately by ability of means of the two an infection or trauma, ensuing in a thickening of the ear. Classically, blood collects (hematoma) between the ear cartilage and the exterior. there's a marked thickening of the whole ear it is so extensive that the form of the ear will become unrecognizable. The ear is declared to appear like a chew of cauliflower. that is oftentimes seen in wrestlers and boxers who've had repeated trauma to the ear. on an identical time as trauma motives a blood clot under the exterior of the ear, the clot disrupts the dating of the exterior to the ear cartilage. The cartilage has no distinctive blood grant distinctive than the overlying epidermis so, if the exterior is separated from the cartilage, the cartilage is deprived of foodstuff and dies and the ear cartilage shrivels as much as type the classic cauliflower ear. The therapy of the hematoma (the blood clot) is to drain it by ability of making use of an incision indoors the ear and notice a compressive dressing to sandwich the two factors of the exterior against the cartilage. on an identical time as dealt with without postpone and aggressively, the form of cauliflower ear deformity isn't in all probability. postpone in analysis and therapy finally finally ends up in better undertaking in coping with this undertaking and could bypass away better suitable ear deformity.

there is the possibility of getting a cauliflower-ear
Deformity, cauliflower-ear: Destruction of the underlying cartilage framework of the outer ear (pinnae), usually caused by either infection or trauma, resulting in a thickening of the ear. Classically, blood collects (hematoma) between the ear cartilage and the skin. There is a marked thickening of the entire ear which may be so extensive that the shape of the ear becomes unrecognizable. The ear is said to look like a piece of cauliflower. It is typically seen in wrestlers and boxers who have had repeated trauma to the ear.
When trauma causes a blood clot under the skin of the ear, the clot disrupts the connection of the skin to the ear cartilage. The cartilage has no other blood supply except the overlying skin so, if the skin is separated from the cartilage, the cartilage is deprived of nutrients and dies and the ear cartilage shrivels up to form the classic cauliflower ear.
The treatment of the hematoma (the blood clot) is to drain it through an incision in the ear and apply a compressive dressing to sandwich the two sides of the skin against the cartilage.
When treated promptly and aggressively, the development of cauliflower ear deformity is unlikely. Delay in diagnosis and treatment leads to more difficulty in managing this problem and may leave greater ear deformity.

I'm pretty sure that it is not bad for you as long as you have a professional do it, cuase other wise some1 might peirce it in the wrong spot and get it all infected. Also, make sure not to get it pierced on the side that you sleep on cause it will be sore if you lay on it. Hope I helped.

it's not bad for you, but yeah, it does hurt alot! more than regular ear piercings. plus, the healing time is a lot longer. also, if someone accidently (or purposely) hits your ear, it's really going to hurt! just wanted to let you know, but i think they look pretty once they are all healed and you can change the earring out. good luck! and yes, it's' okay for you to get it done, just do it professionally!

It's not bad for you, I heard that too before I got mine done. Like if they do it in a certain spot you could die. but im sure if that could happen they wouldn't be doing it.
I thought it would hurt but it didn't. Of course I was squeezing my boyfriends hand like i was popping out a watermelon but when it happened it felt just like piercing the lobe. maybe a little more pain, not bad though. good luck
