Sounds like Dawson's Creek...
I would try to think of something else
Dawson - Joey.... never admit they are in love until later, (date a few times never works out)
Jack (gay) dates Joey. Then you have Pacy, Jen(new girl that moves in) etc.....
I would try to think of something else that has not been done before.

Haha, it sounds like a lot of shows I've seen. Really, it would need some kind of twist to hold my attention. Plus, just a vague summary of their situation isn't enough to tell me about the show. I'd need to know the basic set up, and humor is a big factor too.

Shows with that format are ten a penny, Maybe if u changed the people to OAP's that might work cos thats different. Cos when ppl get to a certain stage in there life's they stop caring about wot ppl think about them so old ppl would be good
It might be hard finding a gay old man but i am sure there is one out there

sounds like it would work. Mystery and romance. Good work. Does sound a bit like Three's Company but that's not a problem. People do it all the time.

Sounds like an inverted version of ' Three's Company ' except that the rent isn't the main concern. Nor Mr. Furley, nor Jack Tripper going into character.

Yes sounds good. The gay guy will probably make the show.

That would be a great play. I like it. However it doesn't capture my interest that much. Try rewording the summary and you could get lots of people wanting to see it. Good luck! ; )

How about the idea of your show never being put on TV?
