I am 7 weeks pregnant and the first time i will see my OBGYN will be at 11 weeks and i'm worried . I live in a small town and seeing a doctor sometimes takes a long time , but i am worried. i would like to see a doctor sooner , i always have seen a doctor at 8 weeks or sooner with my first 2 children. Do you guys think it's a problem to wait til 11 weeks ?

If you have a good doctor then everything should be fine, do not fret. If this will make you feel better, drink lots of fulids, no smoking or alcohol consumption, know your limits when it comes to doing certain things, stay away from things that will make you sick or cause harm to the baby, and everything should go smoothly.

It seems as though you've answered your own question. Doctors are busy so it takes a while to see them, which is why they are waiting until the 10th or 11th week to schedule an appt. If you feel bad or ill then I would call and insist on that basis that he see you sooner, if not, wait a couple of weeks, soon enough you will be going there often enough...

No it isn't a big deal. I went when I was five weeks but I only seen the nurse anyways. NO pap or nothing like that. Then I didn't go back againu until I was amost 12 weeks. That is the time frame that they like to see you by.
And don't be worried unless you are experiencing odd symptoms. Its not like they do anything important the first time you go in.

You should be fine at 11 weeks. My best friend didn't even know she was pregnant until she was about 5 months along! Her baby is perfectly fine; she's beautiful, smart and healthy!!! I wouldn't recommend that anyone wait that long, but 5 months compared to 11 weeks is nothing.

No, dont worry. Everything should be going just fine with the pregancy.
The only reason to worry is if you are having some pain or major discomforts then i would worry..

Everything should be fine...some people don't even know that they are pregnant until 11 weeks...if you start to have cramping or heavy bleeding..then I'd be concerned...

It's not a big deal, however you do need to take your prenatal vitamins.
