Diomedies could not see 7/8 of the Trojans, therefore he did see 1/8 of them.
1400 / (1/8) = 1400 * 8 = 11200 Trojans

if he couldnt see 7/8 of the trojans that means he saw 1/8 of the trojans so there must be 7 times 1400 additional trojans so 1400 + (7)(1400) = (8)(1400)= 10200 trojans
