It is hard for me to tell people that hockey can be a southern sport. It is growing slowly but we are getting there. You have to remember carolina moved here over 10 years ago. Teams like montreal or detroit have been here longer, so they have their fan base.Its an NHL league. NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE.
And it is hard for me to tell people carolina didnt intentionally hurt people on the ice. People like to think carolina hurt players and cheated they didnt. Things just happened at the wrong time and place.

Besides the fact that we have won one Stanly Cup in 65 years and they have made the playoffs once in the last ten. I am trying to be very optimistic about where we are going to get second line scoring after Shanahan, and I do not think we have a defenseman to quarterback the PP all though with Jagr out on the ice it is not the end of the world.

I agree with hockey freak. I live in Tampa so the Lightning is my team. It's hard to convince people that hockey isn't just a northern sport.
It's also hard to explain to people why hockey is fun to watch. They always talk about not understanding the rules or how some games are low scoring.

My team is the Padres. We got great ptiching, defence, and coaching, but our offense lacks big time. Theres no way around it. We need to add some big bats into our lineup.
But we're still making the playoffs and will probably get eliminated prior to the pennant game.
