Like the con man in "Catch Me If You Can" said, people will believe what you tell them to believe...apparently that is true for some people....and these two are masters at reporting fantasy as fact. The scary part is that sometimes I think they believe their own hype. Apparently, if you tell a lie enough times you begin to believe and it becomes real to you.

He is just trying to make it through the term and leave this problem for the next President to fix... However, there are no good solutions available....it is just a mess at this point and becoming apparent that Iraq was a personal vendetta against Hussein for the Assassination Plot against his father.

IT IS A WORD.... Pacifist live by it.

"Defeatism is acceptance of defeat without struggle. In everyday use, defeatism has negative connotation and is often linked to treason and pessimism, or even a hopeless situation such as a Catch-22. The term is commonly used in the context of war: a soldier can be a defeatist if he or she refuses to fight because he or she thinks that the fight will be lost for sure or that it is not worth fighting for some other reason. The term can also be used in other fields, like politics, sport, psychology and philosophy. The term originates from France during World War I."

Who are you to say, Mr. starts-his-question-with-a-lowercase letter, used "their" instead of "there", and tries to pass "ppl" for a word. Defeatism makes a lot more sense.
That was your idea, wasn't it?
