Yes, my Mom and sisters threw me the most fantabulous shower about a month ago. I moved out of state last year and left a job I'd held for 12 years, so it was a collaboration. I drove back home for the shower. My Mom's an AWESOME party planner. Some highlights were the baby washcloth bouquet... in a glass vase with white roses that had 1/2 of them with pastel colored washcloths wrapped delicately around them. SO PRETTY. They put a little red food coloring in water (very little very very little) to turn it pink or they used, I don't know pink lemonade mix without sugar. They bought tiny little "babies..." probably from Oriental Trading or something ( http://www.orientaltrading.com ) and put the little babies in small bathroom drinking cups. They froze the cups with liquid on top of the babies so it just looked like little pink frozen treats. When guests arrived, they served them to each guest. As the drinks melted, the first person to yell out "My water broke!" when their baby rose to the top of the cup won a prize. We played tons of games and the guests LOVED them. Gifts came from all over, many just from the dollar store... print them for free here: http://www.soapmeister.com/shower_legendA.html . There was a poster that was purchased for signatures and well wishes. Pink ribbons were pinned to each guest's lapel with a baby diaper pin and whenever someone spotted another guest with their legs crossed, they could take their pin. The person with the most pins at the end of the party on a prize. My Mom bought 2 baby dolls and 2 full baby outfits. (Pink if expecting a girl, blue for boys) and they had 2 person relay races to see who could dress the baby the best in 2 minutes, BLINDFOLDED. Winner was the person with the worst dressed baby (bonnet on bottom, shirt inside out, etc.). With huge towel sized diapers, pins and a bonnet, other blindfolded guests had to dress their grown ( a party guest) babies perfectly while holding the baby on their lap... there was more! But those were the funnest and most memorable!!!

I had a baby shower about three weeks ago. It was awesome.

Lets see to help with it. I say register for what you need. I didn't register and I got tons of stuff that I already had. Like recieveing blankets and washclothes and stuff like that, I had a lot of from my previous baby and i didn't need them. I could have used something else. But I am grateful for what i got.

I made it a rule to get in the door you had to have a pack of diapers.

Then we played the most awesome games, they were totally funny.

One was blindfold the person, have a bowl of cottonballs on your lap and a empty bucket on your head. You have to use a spoon to get the cotton balls in the bucket on your head. It feels like you are getting a bunch but you really aren't. Plus everyone is laughting, its a riot.

Another one was blindfolded who could dress the baby fastest.

The pin the poopy diaper on your shirt.

Numbers on the bottom of plates.

We had awesome gifts for prizes and everyone got a 99 cent door prize candle.

Then we did the hang the necklace over hte belly to see what your having and how many more you'll have.

It was a blast.
