If you loved the old Miami Vice and expect it to be a rehash of that, forget it...it's very dark...I grew up with the old one, but actually liked this new version; There were some editing problems, though, especially when it came to Jamie Fox's role; apparently they were filming in some 3rd world country when some sort of "coup" or drug thing happened; The producers actually paid the "drug guys" protection money so the film wouldn't be disrupted, but apparently 1 of the "kingpins" didn't take it seriously and production was stopped several times; Jamie Fox apparently had enough, hopped on a plane and high tailed it out of "Dodge" (went back to LA), so some important scenes he was suppose to be in were shot without him; Personally, I'd give it an 8 out of 10....

I was lucky enough to have been on the TV show as an extra a few times so I was very disappointed in it for several reasons. But I found that most old TV shows that were made into big screen movies were a big let down. Examples Starsky and Hutch, Wild Wild West, Lost In Space, and The Dukes of Hazzard. This is in no way saying the actors were bad, it just made the characters seem nothing like the TV characters loosing respect for the original actors.

7/10 Nice action movie, and you've got to love the guns in the movie.

Haven't seen it, but I'd kill to see it.
It's been rated as one of the best movies of the year.
So I suppose it'll be worth it.

save your money.........go to an adult theater, it's a better use of your money.........go out to lunch instead, then you might at least feel satisfied......get some extra sleep..........DO ANYTHING BUT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MOVIE!!
