u can find out thru ur virus procetcer traceing site if u have one like macafee or one of those it shows u where it came from like country or state

That information is contained in the header. Most e-mail clients hide the header information for convenience, but they have an option to "show headers". With that, you should be able to find the IP address (unless they're trying to hide it deliberately). There are third party tracing programs you can use to trace the e-mail, in case they're routing it in a way to try to mask the IP. Some of these are shareware...

It should be in the header section, You can chose to view the full headers from the options in your email.
