Most likely not from the local wal-mart but you can get anything at ebay now a days.

I have a cute little portable typewriter that I got about 15 years ago from a discount warehouse store.

I also hear that the old dot matrix printers are making a comeback for those annoying carbon forms the government loves to use.

Yes. The best place to find original typewriters is at a second-hand store or pawn shop.

If you check some of the larger office supply stores, some may be able to help you find one as well, but most are computerized to some extent.

Yes, there are lots of them available. I got one recently made by Brother for about $125. It has lots of great features and memory. It's an electronic that uses cheap ribbons available in different colors. You can also buy loads of used, older ones on places like eBay, and through classifieds.
