The kids were fussing and fighting, and I had both caps off...oil and gas. I ended up putting some gas where the oil goes. Now, it won't start. I drained it and refilled it several times. What should I do? I didn't put a LOT of gas in, but it still won't work.

If you put gas in the oil thats not a problem major. Drain all the oil out and fill it with fresh oil. Then take the breather off your carbuerator and don;t choke it too start it. Just crank it a few times and it should start right up.

I don't think the problem is accidentally putting gas in the oil sump. Especially if you drained and re-filled it. This used to be done in old airplanes in the winter to thin out the oil and make them easier to start in cold weather. However, if you put oil in the gas tank, you have a problem. IF you did, pull the sparkplug and clean it. The only thing I can think of is oil got into the cylinder and fouled the contacts. Hope this helps.

IF it wasn't run with gas in the oil, thats not the problem, now if oil was put in the gastank..... it will not run off oil...., oil is in the carb bowl (tank, fuel lines, and carb must be drained) and spark plug replaced (or cleaned off) and check the air filter for oil on it (if its oiled foam, don't worry)

What he said, plus check the spark plug for fouling.
