Well, what can i say..
London was basically two cities, the first being the small fortified Central London, the home of the Political, Social and Imperial Elite. For them, they had every Splendour the British Empire could give them, and they were the benefactors of the Empire as a whole.
Then came Greater London, or the vast majority of its Citizens. Several familes sharing single rooms in dilapidated Housing Estates. working in some of the worst factories mankind has ever seen, for a pittance, all to keep the vast machine of Empire moving. Class was almost directly enforced upon the population, and political freedoms and Suffrage were all but non-existant.
We were never a nice country, and the Victorian Era was one of our worst. Not a tiem to be proud of
