The easiest and fastest is a little lawnmower gas, then some kitty litter or sawdust, if not just use sand or dirt.

Just dont use it on asphalt

If it's fresh, get the cheapest bag of kitty litter from the grocery store. (it's the same as the expensive stuff they sell at the auto parts stores) Sprinkle the kitty litter over the oil stain, covering it up. Take a shop broom and work the litter back and forth into the stain. Let it sit a while, sweep it up and repeat the whole process. After a few times, the kitty litter will pull the oil out.

If it's an old stain, or multiple stains. A pressure washer is the best way to get them out.

Go to an auto parts store and get a can of brake cleaner. I own an auto repair shop and i use it all the time. It works great with very little effort. It will take oil spots out completely and all you need is a rag to wipe it up.

Go to NAPA and Buy a 1 gallon bottle of Purple power! And get a stiff bristle broom or hand brush to scrub the stain out! Use the Purple Power full strength. Then Use a hose to rinse your side walk.

put kitty litter on it for like two hours, then scoop it up and throw it away. The kitty litter soaks up the oil, just the same as it soaks up cat piss:)
