Symptoms... frequent urination, increased appetite, itchy nipples (and clear discharge), mood swings and, vaginal discharge. I only have a period every 3 months on the pill. I did have a period recently but it was lighter than usual.

I never miss pills but I have taken them late before. Also, I dont like Dr's because they act like I'm crazy. They say there's no possibility of being pregnant if you bleed. So they probably wouldnt even see me.

A nurse at my ob/gyn told me that you cant bleed and be pregnant. My mom didnt know I existed untill she was 5 months. I'm not sure if thats why though. Thanks for all the answers. I knew testing was a pretty good solution but I didnt want to go through going to the store, buying one, waiting for a result, without good cause to worry.

The pill is not 100% effective. Be very sensitive to them and contact your doctor as needed.
If you become pregnant, I would suspect abortion is probably the backup since the hormones in the pills probably effect the development of the fetus, I would think. Discuss it with your doctor.

If you think your pregnant the best way to find out if you are is getting an in home test or even better go get tested. If you do get your period every month though you should be fine and having a lighter period could just be due to added stress or some slight hormonal change. Everyones periods vary in length and amount every month

I would do a test tomorrow morning if AF hasn't arrived. FMU is more concentrated and you're therefore more likely to get an accurate reading if you use the first pee of the day. If AF doesn't arrive for a few more days, take another test (Dollar Tree tests are perfectly good and cost ... $1). After 10 days and still no BFP or AF, go for a blood test at the Doc's. Good luck!

I am on Seasonale and I have similar symptoms. The pill makes your body think it's pregnant, so the symptoms are not unusual to mock pregnancy.
If you have missed any pills, then I would take a pregnancy test to be safe in a few weeks. You had a period, so that's good.

Even if you bleed you could still be pregnant!
some women that are pregnant never miss a period the whole pregnancy!!! : )
SO don't go by missing or not missing your period!plz
Just go to the store and get a test 1st respose work 5 days b4 your missed period so it will probably be the best test!
And abortion is not the soulution not that you were thinking of it.

OK...1, With all those symptons you should first and foremost should see your Dr....just to clear up any chance of anything being wrong..you then could bring up this Question with him/her. 2, there is a possiblity of being or getting pregnant on any birth control product...nothing is 100% proof. I do know that certain meds for pimples can make your pill not effective so can some antibiotics too....again...maybe ask your dr or check online or at your local drugstore for more info on what you are taking with your pill.....hoep this helps....some?

Just take a test. Then you'll know.
If you are (doubt it seriously though) being on BCP's and accidentally getting PG is unlikely to harm the fetus. There are thousands of kids walking around out there whose mothers missed a pill or two that are absolutely fine.
Good luck!

I just hate that woman come here for actual answers to sensitive subjects and have to ask for people to not be rude....I hear ya' honey.
Anyway-off my soap box for a minute...hahaha!
I believe the reason why is because the hormone in the BC is actually telling your body you are prego. I am new at the BC thing too. 33 years old and taking it for the first time to attempt to treat endometriosis with hormone therapy. I'll be getting off of it soon though.

I was born 29 years with my mom taking the pill religously-I would definetly be concerned-Always check with your doctors to confirm b/c a home test might not be accurate due to you taking the pill.Good luck
