Here in Missouri, deciduous trees are beginning to turn their autumn colors. What happens to deciduous trees in warmer climates? Do they turn colors and lose their foliage?

They also lose leaves, but only one-by-one every now and then, almost unnoticeable.
You must consider, they don't have "our" oak, maple, birch trees in the sub-tropics and tropics, their trees are different species.
But interesting enough, I have a tree from Hawaii here (Zone 5), and although I have it indoor in a greenhouse during winter, it still loses almost all its leaves, to re-grow in May. Something it wouldn't do "at home" in Hawaii....
