You need to write a business plan even if you don't plan to seek outside financing. This will be your road map for the first few years. In writing a good business plan you need to do quite a bit of research. This research will answer a lot of your questions.

heres a small list of things to do....
get a business lic.---you will have to get a fictious name unless its under your name--this takes about 30 days--once you have the lic. or tax certificate you can then get a bank account with any bank--being a retailer you will need to get a wholesalers lic. and you need to think about your accounting system--cash registers or computer software?
just look in the paper to find a place when you get the other things sorted out
