The signs we have made to WELCOME him are gathering dust…? Why does he not come pay us a visit? I feel ignored and oh, so saddened by this! What can we do to grace our town with his Royal presence?

Ha Ha, that would be a sight to see wouldn't it!? He's too stupid to appreciate the natural beauty and liberal vitality of Santa Barbara, If he ever visits, I'm flying out for the protests, he's polluted our great country enough. As far as enticing him to visit it's easy, just tell him a case of Jack and an eight ball of coke will be waiting for him at the airport, AND a copy of My Pet Goat for his reading pleasure :)

To answer your question.
I think the governer of California, would prefer to keep him out of the state until after elections, regardless of fundraising. Santa Barbra is a nice town, but the real money for fundraising is in other parts of California.
other reason may include the following.
fear of protesters.
not being able to find california on a map.
difficulty telling his staff he wants to go to california and ending up in North Carolina

Your town must have a lot of intelligent people.
