could i be 5weeks with a neg pregnancy test?

hi guys just used a first response early detect test and it was neg.is it still possible that i may still be pregnant.symtoms: period 7 days late 2day,stuffy, head cold, light cramps on and off,CM was creamy and stretchy earlier 2day(sorry tmi) occasional nausea, not as much heartburn aymore. on the website calendar i am 5 weeks preg. i really want 2 b pregnant. please help i am very confused.

yes you could still be prego and not test positive. The test is looking for a hormone only noticeable when prego and if your levels aren't high enough for the test it doesn't mean 100%. I found out for sure close to 9 weeks because the hormone was more pronounced in the later weeks. If in doubt a Dr. can order a blood test to do a count over a 24 hour period to confirm a pregnancy. Blood draw on day one then again on day 2 and they see if there is a rising level.....then if yes you are prego. don't stress just yet...might work against you...:)

Go to the Dr. it is the only way to know for sure. You can be preg. with a neg. test. Try taking another one in a few days first thing in the morning when you get up. This is when you levels are the highest. But go to the Dr. for sure. Good luck

thats funny, im in the same situation, the day my period was suppose to come(last monday) i got a fever and it never came. i have been very tired but i assume its because of school and work. but i have never before missed a period. i keep thinking my period will come because i have been cramping, but it hasnt. so i took a preg test and it did come out neg. in any case thanks for the heads up!!!!

yes I was, im not 8 weeks along and mine didn show positive until I was 2 weeks late ( 6 weeks pregnant!)

1st one- Negative
1week later- Positive
1 week later- Positive
