I have that same problem, and you should feel good that your friends trust you so much that they go to you with their problems. That shows that they have a lot of confidence in you. They dont ask how you are because, if you help them so much they start thinking that there cant be anything wrong with your life because you know what to do. You shouldnt be angry at them, it is because them asking you shows that they care about. You sould also ask them for some advice so they know that sometimes you also need help. Hope this answers your question. :)

Been there, done that. I try to be helpful to friends but I too have fallen into the situation you have described: no reciprocity going on between friends. I can remember one friend actually attacking me verbally over something that I said was bothering me -- she turned on me even though I had been there for her many times over. It was a shock, believe me.
Watch out for these types of one-sided friendships. When such people press you for help over some problem in their lives, listen, but pull back a little. Don't let them make you feel bad when you vent a little to them -- if they complain, you know what kind of friends you really have.
Move on and get newer, healthier friends to do things with (besides telling each other your problems). Believe me, I had to learn this the hard way. You shouldn't have to if you assertively look for new friends in your life.

Well people ARE natural selfish. I would get a littel irritated if they never let me talk about my problems. But they obviously trust your advice since they keep coming back. Have you made an effort to communicate anything going on in your life? Instead of waitng for them to ask how your doing tell them. If they do not want to listen to your problems, and you help them with theirs, i say some friends they are

They feel that you can't have a thing going on that you can't figure out. That's why they don't ask. Maybe you should come up with a fake problem and ask them for help. That way they won't think you fix everything that's what they need. Out the shoe on the other foot

It is good to know your own strengths. It sounds as if you are a mature and open person; and that people are drawn to your safe and gentle nature and they feel comfortable sharing their feelings with you. You can be a help to people by knowing who you are.

THEY PROBABLY FEEL COMFORTABLE TALKING TO YOU. YOU SOUND LIKE A VERY LOVING AND CARING PERSON. PEOPLE DO THE SAME THING TO MY DAUGHTER ALSO AND THEY NEVER ASK HER HOW SHE IS FEELING. YOUR LUCKY FOR PEOPLE WANTING TO CONFIDE IN YOU, LIKE I SAID THEY MUST REALLY TRUST IN YOU FOR GOOD ADVICE.
