No, it's too close to Labour Day. Pick one in August.

No, because there's nothing to celebrate about that day. The media already does a good enough job of sensationalizing that day, amking it a holiday would only make that worse. You can always tell September 11 is coming up because all the specials start coming on TV. It's like Christmas or something.

No, it shouldn't because like some of the others have stated holidays are for celebrating and 9/11 is nothing to celebrate. It was a tragedy. Besides if we made a holiday out of every historic event no one would go to school or work.

No! Because then it would turn into a day of shopping sales and vacations and it would not be a day of remembrance (just like all of the other holidays we have). It is not a day to celebrate and that is what it would turn into. How much time do people really spend thinking about or honoring Christopher Columbus on Columbus Day or Veterans on Veterans Day? 1 second? Then it is off to the mall!

A holiday is something celebrated, 9-11 should not be celebrated in any way shape or form. It should be remembered always.
God Bless the victims and their families.

No, it should not. We would then have to make a holiday of December 7 (Pearl Harbor), November 22 (the assassination of JFK) and many more dates in history.

No, it would be morbid and make things even more depressing for the loved ones of the victims.
