Is it worth it? Does this therapy work? I have tried EVERYTHING! (serious answers only) It is a lot of money, but honestly, if I can knock off a few pounds, and it really changes my thinking, it may be worth it. I dont want to be scammed either.

No, diet and exercise are the only way to go. You will lose 1000 bucks if you goto the hypnotist, and still be overweight. D&E aren't "easy", but it's the only way. The hard part is getting started. The next hardest thing is staying motivated to avoid the things that got you there in the first place. And no, it's not easy, but it's the only way.

Look at this way: With the outragious amount of money Americans spend on pills and such annually, shouldn't we be the skinniest people on the planet? Well we aren't. So what does that tell you? We want the quick fix, and nobody has ever gone broke catering to that. nobody. However, that's not what works. What works is working out and eating right. Just look at the millions of skinny people out there, what are they doing? Ordering grilled chicken instead of cheeseburgers. They are busy doing things not watching tv. These are the simple things they do every day to maintain a slim figure. The harder things they do include sacrificing an hour or two every day to hit the gym.

It's not easy, that's why there are so many support groups out there.

Sometimes the easy road seems the best way to go, but in all seriousness, you'd probably do better to see either a "club" (like Weight Watchers) or see a nutritionist.

In the above alternative scenarios, you'd receive either a support system with others looking to reach the same --or similar-- goal, or you'd find new ways to eat more healthy.

My immediate suggestion (as it's worked for me), is to wrap your head around the idea that anything worth getting is worth working towards. See if friends want to start a regimen of walking in the morning or evening. Drink more water than soft drinks. Buy a cookbook for healthy eating alternatives.

There are lots of ways to lose weight. The best idea is to talk to a physician before starting anything relating to otc drugs or rigorous exercising (because there may be unknown health risks).

If you put your mind to it, and are realistic (based on the amount of weight you want to lose, any health issues, your age, etc) you'll do it and be able to say *YOU* did it, not some guy getting a grand for something they probably have you sign a 'release' for first (in other words: this may not work, but you won't get your money back).

Good luck, chin up and YOU CAN DO IT! :D

I am a hypnotist. There is no known method of post hypnotic suggestion that will continue for a life time. If your hypnotist were legitimate he would know this. I can cause you to loose weight but would have to repeat the process from time to time. How long? No-one can know. Each person is different. Find yourself a new practitioner.
a simple method of a mild form of self hypnosis is to buy a real pretty dress of the size you want to wear. Get a clear plastic cover for it and hang it on the refrigerator door.
With the love females have for pretty clothes, I think you will see a change in eating habits. The dress is always in your way and always reminding you. Hypnotists use two methods. Food aversion and a mental form of that dress on the frig door.
Good luck

In my opinion that really depends on how it is done. I was having hypnosis for weight loss and it helped but I had to listen to the recording of the session several times a day and since I didnt have time to do this I quit going. So it really depends on what you get for the 995. But if its guaranteed and it doesnt work does that mean you will get your money back?
Also how many sessions are they prepared to give you? I really enjoyed going but it is pricey.

995 is way too expensive. If you want to try hypnosis, and it does work well for some, then find a practitioner that will give you the first treatment free. That will give you some idea if it will be effective. ( many people cannot be hypnotized) If you spend that kind of money, and they give a guarantee, well, it is usually the case that they will repeat their treatment as often as necessary......so if you want to be going in every day for the rest of your life to get something that isn't working for you....well, its your nickle.
Have you consider gastral bypass?

How about no more late night pizza and running a few miles now and then... It'll save you the 995 and 30 bucks a week!

Hypnosis is a very powerful but let me ask you if you ate a Bg Mac a day would it still work? ....No! The problem is you still need to understand what causes the gain at the cellular level. The problem is in the sugar break down (low vs High glycemic) In high glycemic foods they can still be low fat and carb but the way it is processed by your body can be very different. They best weight loss lifestyle is low glycemic meals along with excercise and proper high quality nutritionals. For more info.......

If you're serious about the hypnosis treatment, you might want to check out the hypnotist-from friends or on the internet, you might also want to check with an organization of hypnotists to see if he is part of that organization- at least that way you'll be walking in to someone who at least you know that is valid

You have tried everything? This is a serious answer.. exercise and eating healhty is not rocket science. Set some calorie limits, go to a gym. Do you really think someone who will "play" with your mind will help you make smart choices about foods in the future. You'll only gain the "few" pounds back.

Don't rely on crap and people who wil take money from you because you'll get sucked into something stupid. Come on, think about it!

Oh, jeez. NO. Come on.

There is no "quick fix" for weight loss. If you're honestly, seriously overweight (NOT just a couple of pounds here and there but overweight to an unhealthy degree) then it requires a lot of hard work, patience, and sweeping lifestyle changes to see a difference. You have to be willing to work at it for a while.

Please don't waste your money!!
