There buses that make euro-trips starting from London to Athens,but they are too expensive and have several stops.The best way is by plane(and the cheapest one).If you are afraid of airplanes try train until Italy(Ancona)and then a boat to Patra(Greece-1day trip) and then a bus to Athens(the easiest part-2hrs trip).

thats a really long journey! but there is a train going from london waterloo to athenes.
it takes you about 50 hours and you have to change at least 5 times.
have a look at www.bahn.de
it is a german page but have an english part.
EuroRail-passes could be a cheap way to travel europe.
i could not imagine that some travel agencies offer bus trips from london to athens, it is too far away and would be much cheaper to take a plane.

You can try a student travel agency, where you could obtain low prices if you really want to come on bus or on train.
However, I would say that plane is the fastest way and probably the cheepest.

I think it will cost you less to fly. Now there are many cheap tickets Athens-London.
