How much on average would it run me to rebuild the engine on a 1997 mustang gt and replace a oil pan,tune up??

It all depends on if you plan on doing it yourself and how much of the engine you want to replace, also how much machining you want to have done. There really is no average, it always comes out to more than you expect and once you get into it you see other things that you want to do.
