We are absolutely underestimating their intentions towards Taiwan meanwhile we pump billions into the communist coffers each month via trade deficits.
We might as well have fueled the Tianenman Square tank that ran protestors over. Fundamentally, there is no difference.
I believe there should be an absolute boycott on all nationalized industries in China. President Bush has said repeatedly that prosperity leads to freedom - balogney. Freedom leads to prosperity. We are feeding a gigantic monster that is ideologically diametrically opposed to our national credo.

Of course the US is.

China is their biggest threat. Soon enough there will be a war. This is why they have closed down their borders for so long.

US vs. China, Russia, Iran, and basically all of the muslim world.

Our dollar's worth is declining, our war for oil is obviously lost, and we're going to be in a major 'crap'-hole. They're winning already.

So oh well.

China is far more unstable then people realize, there is also the plausibility of war with China over events triggered by North Korea.
