Yes the Ladykillers. That was all types of bad. But one bad film in like 25 years isn't bad going. Tom Hanks is a great actor and thats why every film he is in is good, he raises the bar for them.

Like most famous actors, Tom probably has the pick of all the best film scripts. Therefore it would be hard to find him in a bad film now. However, go right back to the start of his career when he didn't have a choice and maybe you'll find one or two 'iffy' ones.

"The Ladykillers" is the only Tom Hanks film I have turned off, although I haven't tried watching "The Da Vinci Code" yet.
But Leonized is missing a treat with not watching "The Terminal", I watched it thinking it might suck but really enjoyed it.

I really hated "Splash." I didn't care for The Burbs or Joe Versus the Volcano, either.
However, I think with someone like Tom Hanks, the good outweighs th ebad -- and his good is SO good, that you can easily forgive him for the bad =)

Unfortunately yes.. I think he is a fantastic actor and i loved him in 'Catch me if you can'. But he did a film as a... Foreigner trapped in an airport because his country was blown up or something... I haven't seen it and i'm not going to.... Also he did the davinci code (can't be bothered to spell it lol) and i haven't seen that either and i'm not going to because i've been told it looks crap and from what i've seen it is... He was fantastic in the film Volunteers with John Candy and his Wife (that he met making that film) Good on him i say but he should read his scripts and not just accept them!
Turner and Hooch is one of my all time faves... When Hooch farts in the office... I kept rewinding it and cried with laughter and i also cried when Hooch died... But don't tell anyone i told you that ;) Shh...

Good Question!
I love Tom Hanks. I wouldn't say he has been in a bad movie...but looking back, the quality may be bad, right?
How 'bout Money Pit...Love it! My fave is Philadelphia though...whew! That movie changed my life.

Yeah, I have to say that Ladykillers wasn't all that, nor was there a bag of chips involved, but that Hank's performance was still enjoyable. Haven't seen Punchline, so I can't speak to that.

Typically he doesn't do bad movies, but there were a few exceptions: The DaVinci Code, The Terminal, Cast Away, and those two chick flicks with Meg Ryan. Everything else he does is good.
