JJ Abrams is in charge of putting together a new film and may make a prequel movie of the original Enterprise crew. There's been talk of Matt Damon playing Kirk and supposedly Abrams went to Shatner for his blessing.

There is a film in the works. ST is still a money maker. Don't bet on it til 2008 or beyond.

JJ Abrams is trying to resurrect the franchise. Don't know if they should bother... I loved Enterprise and was so pissed off at the fanboys who destroyed it.

Right now they just redid the outside space scenes from TOS.
