The character of Det. Benson will be undercover for the FBI in the first 6-7 episodes of this season. In real life Mariska Hargatay, who plays Benson, had a baby and is on maternity leave. She will be back soon.

She is going to work for the FBI to catch this ecoterrorism group, because she played one of the ecoterrorism people, so they think that she is one of them, really Mariska H. is having on maternity leave, even though, we all know she had the baby, but they must of been in filming
