you might consider nice and neat some flowers and a few pictures. your clients all have different problems. making your office look expensive might shy them away from your office.

Create a calm and relaxing atmosphere to lessen the anxieties of people who come to your office. Use plants (real or artificial), a couple of picture frames with relaxing scenery. It's not necessary to have a lot of decorative stuff in an office. It is as important that your office is kept neat and that you have a proper place for everything.
Mix it up (specially your desk) with family pictures and other personal items.
If you have a cubicle, "wallpaper" one or more walls with nice giftwrapping paper with a neutral calming design. This actually looks really nice if you choose something with a small repeating print.
It might be better to avoid a particular ethnic style, to avoid alienating any of your clients.

How about a Hispanic theme? Warm earth tone colors in reds, browns, yellows... Sombero lampshades. Serape wall hangings. Small Aztec scuplture reproductions to decorate tables and shelves. Some decorative Mexican tile for floors if possible.

cubicle or office? there were people who redecorated their offices/cubicles to look like island retreats. they put up bamboo "wallpaper" and lots of mini palm trees in their space. made it seem like it wasn't an office but a little piece of heaven. might also have a calming effect on your clients too. although i would highly recommend you consult your HR people to see if this is allowable.

What do you like? That would be the place to begin. Some colors that are comforting, relaxing. In some theme that you enjoy.
