Dog hunts down people who jumped bail.. mostly people that he bonded out and then they jumped his bail and they owe him money... but that not all it is, Dog talks to them and tries to help them start over so when they do get back out of jail they can have a better life

Its a reality show about a family living in Hawaii working in the bounty hunting business. Dog is the main character: the father. They do not use lethal weapons, and they try to be a positive influence even with the criminals they do catch.

I love this show! One of my favorites. This past week the family spoke about Dog The Bounty Hunters Arrest. here is what happened.
Basically he went to Mexico to get a rapist off the street (really bad guy) and to put him in prison and I guess it's illegal to bounty hunt in Mexico. So they arrested him 3 years ago for this. He got out and never went back to Mexico for his court date. He was told by judges he didn't need to go back and that Mexico wouldn't pursue him if he was in the US. and didnt' go back to mexico. Then last week or maybe it
was 2 weeks ago mexico called our officials and had them put a warrent out for his arrest and broke down his door to arrest him and leiland. Then they put him in a mexican prison. Some people he put in prison were there with him which is really sad. They didn't like him too much. Now he might be extradited to Mexico and could serve 4 years in mexican prison. I guess if he went to prison he would 'nt make it out alive. THe whole messed up thing about it is crinimals run away to mexico so
they don't have to go to jail and if we go over there and catch a
criminal we go to jail for it? It isn't right. Dog the bounty Hunter always is nice to the people he catches and where mercy is shown mercy is given.

"Dog" is a bounty hunter that lives in Hawaii - he catches people that have run out on their bail and missed court appearances. So if you get arrested and make bail - (usually 10 %) - you get out of jail - but with the implied promise to appear in court. He catches the people that don't show up. He is famous for traveling to Mexico and capturing the heir to the Max Factor fortune who is a rapist. That guy's name is Andrew Luster. He drugged and video taped the women he raped.
