I have had continous problems with Limewire downloading viruses and worms onto My system. I have a spy ware detector, so its not so bad, but has anyone else had this same problem, if so how do We fix it?. I think something should be done. Perhaps a petition, because I think its Limewire that is placing those viruses and worms into their downloads. Does anyone else think this?

I had the same problem. First it started with pop-ups that COULD NOT be blocked, then I had problems with my computer running very slow, then warnings saying my disk space was very low, and finally, my computer wouldn't even start. My new Dell got delivered today and I shall NOT be using LImewire--if I want a song badly enough, I am going to suck it up and pay for it on iTunes, lol!!

Well I have not had a problem with Limewire downloading viruses on my computer...The only suggestion I have for you is to use the virus detector provided by Yahoo for protection. I usually scan my computer every 3-5 days just to be on the safe side...and it is working perfectly and I am a regualar Limewire user.

i think the reason that happens is....
its illegal
try a legal site like itunes, or if you still don't want to pay any $, try purevolume.com. it doesn't have everything, but at least it won't give you viruses.
Oh, and don't petition, because if people find out you've been using limewire, you could get into trouble. And I'm not talking about just with your Mommy.

I have had this problem. Its not Limewires responsibility to ensure the content of what you download. thats why its called "file sharing" it gets them out of the loop. I hate it too though.

I HATE Limewire so much. I caught a virus from there so from now on I just do Itunes.

yes i used to have limewire and hated it, get bearshare its a lot alot better, and i haven't had any problems with it just go to bearshare.com and download it, u get the same results as with limewire..hope this helped

Limewire is illegal. My friend tried to delete it off her computer but it gave her a virus. it isn't safe.

yeah, I have the same problem but I don't know how to stop it. It makes all the other programs go really slow!
