Like people in school say they Gay but they not, their music rocks

I personally like them, but other people I know have turned against them because to them, Green Day doesn't really sound like they did on Dookie. And other people don't like the fact they did a rock ballad, and other people don't like Green Day's position about President Bush.

cuz they sold out by becoming involved with politics which is not punk rock, at least thats what everybody says who hates them..hope this helped

Because they think that they r gay from wearing eye-liner when in all reality it makes them look totally sick it is flippin sweet nice question i wz wonderin that myself ttyt Zane

Becoz they used to be good, very very good back in the early 90s, thats what 'real punk rock' means.
Now, i think they're going downhills.....and too comercial ;-)

quite frankly it's because they are sell outs. i saw them preform before they were ever "Green Day" and when they were playing real, original, punk music. they get worse and worse with their age. if only you could've seen them back in the day....

I don't know why ppl think that. Many ppl say that, but everyone has their own opinions. You may not like some things other ppl might like. it's all up to personal taste.

everyone has their opinion. i love them-- some songs are a bit long, and the old stuff is better, but i still love the guys.
