The most comfortable yet cheap travel anywhere in India should be by Railway route.
Do travel by train- most comfortable if u travel by AC coaches.

punjab mail - levaes mumbai at 7 pm.reaches next day same tie
or take a rajdhani to delhi from there go by road.
or fly to gwalior by air and take a cab or train to agra
or drive down
