Definitely! I generally have a low immune system and started taking prenatal pills over a year before I conceived. My doctor prescribed my pills. Being on them I find that I don't get sick as often as I used to and when I do catch a cold or something like that, it doesn't last as long. My friend's mom is in her 70's and is still taking prenatal pills. It's a super vitamin. You can buy them over the counter or under prescription. I don't think I'll ever stop taking them.
Btw - they make your nails grow stronger and your hair grow faster. It's wonderful! :)

Yep, the over the counter ones are fine when you are not yet pregnant, and are actually recommended when you start trying to conceive. If you do end up getting pregnant, your doctor will probably write you a prescription for even stronger vitamins with more iron than you can get in the over the counter ones. The vitamins are kind of blicky, though--huge and make your burps taste like onions. Glad to be off those.

I took them before we were even trying to conceive. The March of Dimes recommends that everyone woman of child bearing age take them to be sure you get the required amount of folic acid. (It helps reduce the number of birth defects, just in case you accidentally get pregnant!)

yes its fine, after i had a baby (i took my prenatals throughout my pregnancy) i asked my doctor what i should do about the pills, and she said to keep taking them, because it wouldnt hurt to have the extra nutrience. also, my mom asked me for my extras cuz she wanted to take them (and shes not pregnant)

It's fine. I am a hairdresser and would recommend this to my clients for stronger hair and nails. It wont harm you. It could make you a little nauseous so i would take it with food
